Winter Woods Planks for My Dad

Who doesn't love April Fool's Day?!?

I grew up loving this wonderfully fun day because of my dad.  And why you ask?!?  He is the biggest jokester of all... and I love every inch of him especially when it's his birthday!!!  WOO HOO!!!

Yesterday was one of many occasions that I've gotten to spend with him close by... and I'm looking forward to so many more!!!  Last week was bittersweet as the last parcels of my childhood were loaded up and hauled up here to NW Ohio.  So yesterday was especially sweet to celebrate with him as he was grinning from ear to ear and up to his normal shenanigans!

Today's card is the card that I made for his special day...

Thanks to one of the incredible Stampin' Up! 2019 Artisan Design Team Members, Stesha Bloodhart, making this card was a no brainer.  Since my maiden name is Plank, the background had to be the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.  My colors of choice were Mossy Meadow, Early Expresso, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake.  The True Gentlemen Button completed eye-pleasing pop of color from the sentiment and the tree trunks.

The Celebrate You thinlits were the perfect touch for the inside!
(There is no way could I let you know how young he is!!!)

Celebrating my dad's special day with him was such a treat that ended with a beautiful sunset...
and may he continue to have a truly amazing day everyday!

I hope today's card has inspired you to make some time to create a special card for someone special in your life.  Thanks so much for stopping by my little corner of the world and have a blessed day!
