Happy December!

I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day!

Today I am hopping with some of my talented stamping friends from around the world who love creating with Stampin' Up!® products as much as I do!

We hop on the second weekends of the month - Saturday or Sunday depending on where you are in the world - and love sharing lots of inspiration with you.

There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and relax with your favorite cuppa as you peruse the hop.

This month we are sharing projects based on the Sounds of the Season!

I am sure that you will find lots of different interpretations and inspiration from this fun theme.

Today's Project

The season that we are currently in is my favorite as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

So many memories of Christmases past are filled with certain scents and tastes as the holiday festivities were underway.

But my most precious memories are those singing Christmas carols with my family.

I used to sit for hours in my Granny's back bedroom playing Christmas songs from the old church hymnal on her pump organ (which I now have).

Silent Night was indeed my favorite to play and sing though who knows if the others in the house enjoyed it as much as I!

Project Details

The Peace to You Stamp Set was indeed a must have for me this year!  It has two amazing scenes - the nativity and a church - very dear to my heart.

The design process for this card started with gold heat embossing the sentiment multiple times on Basic Cardstock with VersaMark ink.

The nativity image was stamped with Starry Sky ink onto Basic White cardstock using the Stamparatus which allowed for double stamping for a solid background image.

The image was trimmed with the Paper Trimmer and adhering it with several dimensions to the embossed background.

The inside was layered and stamped to compliment the card front.

The Brightest Glow sentiments stamped with Starry Sky ink were used for the inside and envelope front and flap.

While I had the embossing powder out, I also played with heat embossing this lovely image.

I heat embossed it on both Basic White and Very Vanilla.

The gold embossed Basic White layer was adhered to a Night of Navy stamped sentiment layer which was de-embossed with the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder.

The gold embossed Very Vanilla image was adhered to an Evening Evergreen stamped layer that was also de-embossed with the same embossing folder.

I would love to hear which color is your favorite... I personally love all three!

More Inspiration

I hope that you have enjoyed this project and will find it helpful to create some cards for friends and family.

Up next on the blog hop is Karen where you can continue along to see what she and all the others have created.

I am sure you will be filled with lots of inspiration!

And should you be inspired, please leave us a comment...  we love to hear from you.

Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the world!
Have a blessed day!

  3. Three beauties, and what a wonderful way to have a trip down memory lane! Heat embossing is always fun, but even more so at Christmas - the large images are just stunning when they are raised and shiny. I can't resist a blue and white combo at Christmas, so my favourite is the Starry Sky version.

  5. Oh Silent Nigth! I love this song so much - but strangely, my preference is for the German version, I have no idea why - your post made me fall back into childhood, when I was hiding in the staircase on Christmas night waiting for the little jesus to be born in the crib - if really, I assure you, I was like that and this phenomenon of the santon appearing questioned me for a long time -.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart!
