Timeless Tag for My Mom

by - Sunday, March 05, 2017

There's nothing like a handmade card especially when we make it for someone we love.

Those cards are even more special because we know the recipient(s) will cherish them as much as we enjoyed making them.  We might take some extra care in selecting the card's individual elements ranging from the type of paper, the medium to choose to apply the colors, whether to add embellishments and using the right adhesive(s).  We will enjoy each cut or snip or dab-dab-dab of the color as we know we are making something that will be cherished.  Sometimes these creations will come together in five minutes while other times just a wee bit longer...

Well, this special card for my mom's birthday was one of the "wee bit longer" creations.  When I started it, I knew I would be moving along to another creation within thirty minutes.  Fast forward three hours to when I was deciding which "happy birthday" sentiment I wanted to use... and fast forward another thirty minutes when I was contemplating on whether I was going to secure the tag or just let it float... Since this card was for my biggest cheerleader when it comes to my creativity, everything needed to be just right.
