Nature's INKspirations

Relax and rest...

My boys are out making fun father/son memories today so I have been going around playing catch up with several unfinished projects and/or daily projects... you know washing clothes, washing dishes by hand instead of using the dishwasher, updating my RAK card list, planting dahlia bulbs that should have been planted a month ago...  fun things, right?!

Well, until I started whacking down all the intricately woven spider webs on my deck with my flower shovel.  That's when my mind started wondering what would poor 'ol Charlotte have thought of me if I done that to one of her webs in the barn.  And then I went down memory lane thinking about the summer I got so sunburnt reading Charlotte's Web for a summer reading book club while laying in the grass on a beach towel.  I smiled and then caught a glimpse of a butterfly fluttering near my day lilies that had not bloomed yet.  Trying to reach for my phone, I realized the shovel was still in my hand.  Oh pooh, it flew away...

Then I remembered that I still needed to do my least favorite responsibility as a doggie mom... yep, poop duty! When I was almost finished with that, I spied the butterfly again... and since, my heads were free, I was able to capture a moment or two of the butterfly in the grass.  Ahhh, just to be able to relax and feel the grass tickling my feet.  Nothing like memory lane again!  But guess what?!  I think I'll be relaxing just like the butterfly later this evening after I get some more things checked off of my "'thrivin' to do' list as I count my blessings" list.

Have a great weekend ya'll!
