The Joy of Sets Winter Catalogue 2018 Blog Hop

Welcome to The Joy of Sets Winter Catalogue 2018 Blog Hop!  You are visiting Angie McKenzie from the USA.  You are either starting with me or landing here after visiting the blogs of Jane Allmark or Rebecca Jo-Unwin.

The Joy of Sets is a closed Facebook group created by the lovely Fiona Whitehead from England.  The group is full of Stampin' Up enthusiasts who share the love of all things Stampin' Up! - both old and new.  And today's cards feature some of my favorite products in the 2018 Holiday Catalog.

Making handmade cards during the holiday seasons is lots of fun AFTER the initial card is created.  Once there is a sample, making multiples can be rather quick especially with the Stamparatus®!

The Winter Woods bundle was a "must have" on my long list of "wants" since it coordinates with Love as a Tree, Rooted in Nature and Dashing Deer.  And the sentiment font was an added bonus! **swoon**

What do you think about the snow details on the pines?!?

And then there's the three dimensional effect from one of the tree thinlits...  subtle lifts of the pine boughs definitely makes for a nice touch.

Carrying the design over into inside of the card is a must especially when you know you'll be handwriting a special note.  Remember cards are not just for signing!  The recipient will cherish your thoughtfulness of a handwritten note.

Peaceful Noel is part of the Joyous Noel Suite.  Everything about this Suite is delightful with the copper accents, Sprig punch, and the stamp set that creates watercolor foliage plus amazing sentiments.

The fun-fold allows the recipient to enjoy the card from several vantage points.

I absolutely LOVE the new Buffalo Check background stamp!!!  There are so many things that you can do with this stamp... creativity is endless!

Countless numbers of plaid combinations can be created with a ruler and Blends!  And don't forget to try adding some texture to the plaids with an embossing folder... or even velvet cardstock for a flannel?!?  Yes, velvet cardstock...  it's part of the LIMITED-TIME ONLY Snowflake Showcase coming in November!!!

I hope you have been inspired by my cards today, but there are twelve of us participating so you need to be sure to hop around each of the blogs to see all the inspiration because you sure don't want to miss any!
