Feather & Frost Tips - Demonstrator Training Blog Hop - December 2018

Welcome to our Demonstrator Training Blog Hop!  I am so thrilled to be a part of Kylie's Demonstrator Training Group.  There is an invaluable amount of information and support to help demonstrators in this group to reach their Stampin' Up!® goals, not only from Kylie, but from her amazing guest speakers and even some of my fellow demonstrator members.

Today I am sharing one of the cards from a recent Christmas Card class that is so easy to replicate multiples thanks to the Stamparatus®!

This card was actually CAS(e)d from the Holiday Catalog!  I so loved this Feather & Frost Photopolymer stamp set from the first time I saw it.  And now it's retiring!  **sad face**

The Stamparatus® makes this easy to replicate plus it allows you to get a crisp front image by it perfectly lining up each time especially if the first image is not complete and you need to stamp it again.  By using the perfectly sized grid paper, you can mark an upper corner for precise alignment everytime... so why just make one card... make ten, twenty, fifty or more!  Just stamp til your heart's content.

The banner is stamped in the same fashion... just precut as many pieces, make your mark, and stamp away!  Really you ask?  Just use the second plate for the sentiment or flip the first plate over if you're on an assembly line roll like I was as you'll be using the second plate for another card design.

The inside of the card was stamped using Clear Blocks.  And you can either leave the leaves and berries as stamped or color them in like we did with reinkers and Aqua Painters.  You may even wish to use Stampin' Write Markers if that is your coloring preference.

Have you noticed all the specks on the card front and inside?  Those were made with the retired Gold Wink of Stella by tapping it against a clear block.  You can produce a similar effect with the Vegas Gold Shimmer Paint mixed with water or rubbing alcohol in an Aqua Painter for your own DYI Wink of Stella!  TIP:  If you're in a hurry, use rubbing alcohol... if you have time for the splatters to dry, use water.  The gold was picked to match the Gold Metallic Thread wrapped and tied around the banner.  Change up the thread and you could use the Champagne Mist, Bright Copper, or Frost White Shimmer Paints!
