Peaceful Noel for 3rd Thursdays Blog Hop - December 2018

Thanks for visiting the December 2018 Edition of the Third Thursdays Blog Hop!  Today is all about those "Last Minute Lucy" items we need just in time for the holidays.  What do you usually need at the last minute?  Well, I usually need an extra gift tag or two, a gift card (or cash) holder or a card for the store employee who is working on Christmas Day when my gas tank is low while traveling to see relatives or I just ran out of something that I thought I had right when I need it most (yep - you guessed it - as I was preparing it and a neighbor doesn't have it!).

We can never have too many gift tags, right?!  So I have two types to share with you... the fancy kind that will take you awhile so you can release some of the holiday stress and then the quick, easy kind that you ran short a few and you need to make more pronto!

Peaceful Noel along with the Burlap Background stamp make some classic folded gift tags so you handwrite the recipient names on the inside.  Braided Linen Trim and the Crumb Cake Twine from the Nature's Twine pack create the perfect ties for tying around bags or ribbon on packages.  The Twinkle Builder punch has a star or two that are the perfect size to use as openings to loop the twine/trim through.

The simplicity of the folded tag allows you to carry over the stamping to the backside, too!

The fancy gift tag is stamped to coordinate the complimentary gift money holder and/or Christmas card!  If you run short of this tag, it can be created in 15-30 minutes (depending on how much stress you need to relieve) vs 5 minutes like the previous tags.

The opening for the Braided Linen Trim was created by double punching with the slot in the Detailed Trio Punch!  Just the right space for attaching the Fancy Linen Bow for a classic finishing touch.

The money gift holder is one piece of 8.5" x 11" cardstock scored and burnished at 4" and 8" across with width.  The holder when closed and tied with the Braided Linen Trim fits perfectly in a standard Business Size envelope.

The inside sentiment comes from Merry Christmas to All stamp set (a carryover set!).  The interior custom made photo corners are adhered with Tear n Tape Adhesive for the perfect fit of a check or cash.

When you remember to always make an extra card or two when creating cards, it makes it a lot easier to replicate a card quickly when you need it most... especially around the holidays as there always seems to be a least one person you need to give a card to at the last minute.  This card was one of my Coffee, Cards & More stamp-a-stack cards earlier this month... and it was the favorite, so everyone enjoyed making multiples of it!

And as always, do not forget to stamp the inside of your cards as the inside is just as important as the front!

Doesn't the trio of last minute projects coordinate nicely together?!
