Every now and then you need a special card for someone special that doesn't take long to create and today's card is just that!
Letting the embossed background do all the work was a must for this card... I just sponged it good after embossing it. The same effect can be achieved by inking the folder before embossing it or using a sponge brayer.
To add elegance to this card, I stamped the sentiment on a 4" x 1-1/2" piece of Shimmery White cardstock and wrapped a 8-1/2" x 1-1/2" piece of Vellum cardstock over it securing it to the back of the embossed layer with Tear & Tape Adhesive. Using up the last of a retired set of Basic Pearls, I attached the stringed pearls to resemble a pearl bracelet. You can easily recreate this same look with the current Pearls Basic Jewels. The embossed layer was adhered to the Soft Sea Foam card base using liquid glue.
The inside is just as important as the card front... and for this card, stamping the sentiment in Mint Macaron on Shimmery White cardstock is all that I felt was needed to convey the perfect message.
