Happy Easter, y'all!  I hope that you are enjoying this amazing day as much as possible.  Today's cards are inspirations from Easters long ago when I would stand up as the chords of the Hallelujah Chorus began while the sun would brighten as it streamed through the stained glass windows.  I still get the warm fuzzies to this day just thinking about it!

Kindness happened on that day long ago when the tomb was empty.   What a relief to know that He had risen!  Praise God!

The Stained Glass technique is one that I have been wanting to try for quite some time.  Thanks to the inspiration of Jennifer McGuire, the technique was a bit simpler than I imagined.  It is definitely a technique to do with multiples due to the process of multiple die cuts and the dry time.  There are so many dies that would be perfect for this technique... so be sure to browse through your stash or better yet, order some that you "must have" now like this one!

Smoothly adhere a Full Sheet Adhesive Sheet (retired) to pieces of Whisper White cardstock (approx. 5" x 6").  Die cut the image three to four times being sure to run it through the die cutting machine three times each allowing for the adhesive to be cleanly cut.  Adhere one die cut to a  4" x 5-1/4" card layer and watercolor with a damp Aqua Painter.  Adhere the remaining two die cuts together. and stacked over the colored image.  Completely fill each section with glue and set aside to dry completely.  Once dry adhere to this card layer to a 4-1/16" x 5-5/16" Whisper White layer with liquid glue.  Adhere to a cardbase color of your choice.

COLOR TIP #1:  Before the glue was added and after it was added the roses appeared true to Melon Mambo...  once the glue dried, the color was more of a carnation pink.... closer in tone to Flirty Flamingo.  Flirty Flamingo was the color used in the center of the Daffodil Delight flowers.

COLOR TIP #2:  Both cards were watercolored with a damp Aqua Painter using the exact same colors...  one was watercolored once while the other was watercolored twice.

GLUE TIP:  Shimmery Crystal Effects was mixed with Fine Tip Glue (FTG) on the roses for the Easter card.  FTG was definitely easier to use and was used for the remainder of both cards.

The Abstract Impressions sentiment was off stamped in Granny Apple Green.  Pearls were added as a finishing touch.  The Fable Friends and Easter Promise sentiments were stamped in Flirty Flamingo.

The inside is just as important as the card front!
So enjoy selecting the perfect stamped images to compliment the card front.
