When I first saw the World of Good Suite, I literally squealed with excitement!!!!!
I am blessed to have some rather special friendships across the miles (US), across the border (Canada), across the pond (UK) and across the waters (Europe and Australia) with fellow stampers around the world! So, of course, I had to have the Beautiful World bundle and the Old World 3D embossing folder as they will make the most amazing cards for some very special friends! Can you guess where my inspiration for today's project came from?!?
Create the watercolor washed backgrounds with Pool Party and Crumb Cake on Shimmery White with the large flat tip water painter (**swoon**). Stamp the globes in Pool Party and then watercolor the continents with Bermuda Bay using the medium tip water painter (**swoon**). Stamp the feather in Crumb Cake, brush with clean wet medium tip water painter and stamped onto Shimmery White. Reink and stamp in Crumb Cake for additional definition. Stamp the sentiment and ink bottle were in Night of Navy. Die cut the globes, feather and ink bottle.
Fussy cut the feather tip and ink bottle for fine details. Fluff the feather edges with the edge of a bone folder. Dip the feather tip in Night of Navy ink. Apply glue with the Fine Tip Glue Pen on the feather tip and ink bottle. Set aside to cure. Emboss the watercolor wash background layer and the globes with the Tasteful Texture 3D embossing folder. Emboss the sentiment layer with the Old World Paper 3D embossing folder. Tear the right edge of the panel, wrap linen thread around the left edge twice and tie off with a double knot. Adhere the feather and ink bottle with glue dots. Adhere remaining layers with liquid glue as shown.
The inside is just as important as the card front! Continue the theme with the watercolor wash layer and embossing! Off stamp the large daisy image in Gray Granite onto Whisper White cardstock and punch out with the Medium Daisy Punch. Clean the stamp and stamp the daisy centers in So Saffron and fussy cut. Adhere the layers together and emboss with the Tasteful Texture embossing folder.
I hope this project using products from the new annual catalog which are noted in bold, italics above has inspired you to think of ways that you can use them yourself with your projects.
