#JOSTTT018 Design Team Inspirations - June 2020

It's time for the June 2020 Challenge over at The Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge!  For this month's challenge, you can select any three of the design elements in a row on the board going in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal direction.  I have chosen the vertical row of Nature | Watercolour | Masking.

Grace's Garden is a stamp set that I couldn't wait to get my hands on this Spring!  It is such a fun coloring set as you can create whatever garden views you wish.  The gate was placed on the Thick Whisper White cardstock layer to determine the placement of the cat which is the main focal point for the layout.  Once the placement was eyeballed, the cat was stamped in Stazon onto the layer and again on masking paper.  The masking paper image was fussy cut as close to the lines as possible.  The backing was then peeled off and placed over the cat.  The gate was stamped followed by floral images which were also stamped on masking paper and fussy cut.  The masked floral images covered the scene images so the fence image could be repeatedly stamped.  Once the fence was stamped, additional lines were added with a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to further connect them.  Shading was added to the crosspieces of the gate and fence by lightly watercoloring them with Smoky Slate.  All of the images (Cat - Smoky Slate; Bird - Pacific Point; Hollyhocks - Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green, Flirty Flamingo; Flower Variety - Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green) were watercolored with a damp fine tip Aqua Painter.   The grass (Granny Apple Green) was stroked with a broader tipped Aqua Painter as was the sky (Balmy Blue).  Once completely dry, Whisper White Baker's Twine was wrapped and tied around the watercolored panel.  The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed prior to being die cut with one of the new Tasteful Labels Dies.  The die cut panel was adhered with Foam Adhesive Strips to keep the twine aligned.  The watercolored panel was adhered with wide foam strips to keep the layer flat.

The inside is just as important to stamp as the front.  The Greenery Embossing Folders and Painted Labels Die complimented the watercoloring and heat embossing carried over from the card front leaving plenty of room to handwrite a personal note to the recipient.  Masking was done on the envelope to reveal a sneak peek for what is inside for the recipient.

I hope that today's project has inspired you to participate in The Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge, #JOSTTT018.  Please be sure to pop over to receive more inspiration from the other design team members and I look forward to seeing your entry (entries) on the blog!

Have a blessed day!
