Hey y'all!  I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day!  Today I am hopping with some of my talented stamping friends from around the world who love creating with Stampin' Up!® products as much as I do!  We love hopping on the second weekends of the month - Saturday or Sunday depending on where you are in the world - and love sharing lots of inspiration with you.  There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and relax with your favorite cuppa as you peruse the hop.

This month we are sharing things related to our theme of Easter and/or Spring.  There are so many ways to show love...   I have chosen to focus on lasting love!

Today's Project

Who doesn't love Spring?  Spring is such a wonderful time of year signifying new beginnings.  The birds are chirping, the animals are scurrying around and even a bit frisky!  Everyone seems to be smiling, too, as the colder weather is almost over and flowers are beginning to peek up in the flower beds and trees are starting to bud with blossoms about to burst.  Ahhhhh..... yes, I love Spring!  And today's project is a a resemblance of a glimpse of Spring from the view of a front porch - well, at least that's the view I hope you envision!

Project Details

The Pool Party card base showcases a black pinewood door (a front door or a barn door, if you prefer) with a portion of a wreath.  Why a portion of the wreath you ask?  Because we had to have a basket filled  with Easter eggs so you know what time of year it is.  **wink**

The basket image from Basket of Blooms was inked in Crumb Cake, stamped on Crumb Cake cardstock and fussy cut.  The left side was folded behind the basket to give it dimension allowing the Arrange a Wreath Easter Eggs to be stamped, die cut and adhered with Mini Glue Dots for added dimension.

The wreath was die cut from Mint Macaron, Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz cardstocks.  The pink twine made a delicate Spring bow for a special touch.

The inside was stamped to compliment the card front to celebrate Easter.  The Springtime Joy butterfly was watercolored with the Fine Tip Water Painter; however, any medium of coloring (markers or Blends) would work.  We cannot have Easter without chocolate, right?!  So I created the same treat basket I created earlier this week making 1-1/2" wide to hold the candies!   And yes, I stamped the basket side of the fussy cut baskets this time for a finishing touch... this is quite simple to do after fussy cutting as the photopolymer stamp lines up perfectly.

The inside details of the basket... looks like hearthside type basket! | Nature's INKspirations by Angie McKenzieTop view of the basket so you can see the size better. | Nature's INKspirations by Angie McKenzie

TIP:  A tip for stamping the eggs (the image is double eggs allowing for easy and quick multiples) in single colors is to stamp the egg along the edge of the ink pad and then clean before switching to the other color and egg.  And if you dare (which I haven't for this stamp set, yet), you can use snips to separate them, but do so at an angle of sorts so you can align them back up for stamping and die cutting purposes.  Remember the stamp set is yours so you can cut and trim any stamp that you wish!
