Hello and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop!  We are glad you have joined us and look forward to spending time with you as we share some projects featuring Step It Up! ideas for beginner, casual and avid stampers!  So sit back and enjoy your favorite cuppa as you enjoy your trip Around the World on Wednesday!

TODAY'S PROJECT

I love creating cards that remind me of stationery so that is what I have created today.  This "Step It Up!" set of cards would make a nice gift for someone presented in one of our Acetate Card Boxes.  Personally, I cannot wait to use these to send some special notes to a few dear friends as these will be easy to replicate since the design process is over.

PROJECT DETAILS

The commonalities of these three cards in the Basic White Thick cardstock bases and the 3-3/4" x 5" Basic White cardstock layer for stamping.  The differences are what make them beginner, casual and avid cards.  Which is your favorite?  I cannot wait to hear from you in the comments below.  

Beginner Card aka Simple Stamping

Simple stamping is the basis of this first card.  Tap the large vine image in Soft Succulent ink and stamp in the lower right hand corner of the Basic White card layer.  Clean the image with a Simply Shammy before it is inked in Evening Evergreen and stamped twice - once on either side of stamped image.  The sentiment is inked in Evening Evergreen.  

Casual Stamper Card

Simple layers and a heat embossed sentiment step up the Beginner Stamper Card to this Casual Stamper Card.  Add a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" Evening Evergreen cardstock layer to the stamped Basic White card layer for an elegant touch.  The white heat embossed sentiment on a 3-7/8" x 3/4" strip of Evening Evergreen cardstock completes the look.

Avid Stamper Card

Additional layers, die cuts and embellishments step up the Casual Stamper Card to this Avid Stamper Card.  Add a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" Soft Succulent cardstock layer to the previous two card layers for added depth.  Heat emboss the sentiment and die cut with the coordinating Flowering Vines die.  Die cut the large circle with Basic White cardstock.  Fussy cut the circle die to remove the flowers leaving just the vines.  Adhere the vines around the sentiment die cut with liquid glue.  Layer with a second sentiment die cut layer.  Wrap white twine around the card front layers and tie off with a bow.  Adhere the sentiment panels with adhesive strips straddling the twine.  Add Basic Jewel Pearls as a final touch.  

The inside of the card is just as important as the card front.  So while the stamps are still out, go ahead and complete the inside of the card and the envelope.  Stamping a coordinating envelope along the front and the envelope flap always adds a finishing touch to your card presentation to the recipient and is a sure way to start their smile.
