Watercolor Shapes and Biggest Wish Birthday Card

Hello friends!  Happy Fri-YAY!!!  It's hard to believe that another week is almost gone.  I thought I'd share with you today a birthday card that I made for my son to give to his dad for his birthday earlier this month.  It was rather fun to create and it's so easy to replicate with your own color palette.

Project Details

The largest Watercolor Shapes circle image was randomly stamped along the Basic White cardstock edges with Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay and Poppy Parade inks.  The smallest circle image was randomly stamped along the edge and in between the larger stamped images with Melon Mambo ink.   

The center panel was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink using the hinge stamping technique on the Stamparatus.  The selected Biggest Wish sentiment was aligned on the Basic White cardstock panel and picked up with plate prior to inking.  The image was inked and stamped onto the panel.  This process was repeated two additional times being sure to move the plate down one hinge each time.  The second  sentiment was stamped with Bermuda Bay ink onto a scrap piece of Basic White Cardstock and then fussy cut.  To create some simple layering, the stamped sentiment panel was layered twice onto some scrap Basic White cardstock that would have been tossed out due to stamping mishaps.  Using these mishap scraps was a great way to build up this sentiment layer economically.

The inside was simply layered with the edges stamped to compliment the card front.  The Happiest of Birthdays sentiment worked perfectly with the Sweet Farewell paper airplane added as the son requested an airplane had to be on his dad's birthday card... granted it wasn't the fighter pilot plane he had envisioned, but I told him that this was the best I could do with the time constraints I had with creating his card.  **WINK**
