Happy Thanksgiving, y'all!  I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day!  Today I am hopping with the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop as we share inspiration for Use Your Stash projects! There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water, or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!

Today's Project

Last week Benji had his grooming appointment so I needed to make his groomer, Miss Judy, from A  Pampered Pet Salon in Maumee a special Thanksgiving card from him... inspired by the hydrangeas in the front of our house I had fun using my stash!

November Hydrangea inspiration

Stampin' Up! Hydrangea Haven, Pampered Pet and Eden Dies

Project Details

This shadow box card was fun to make.  Two standard size Very Vanilla Cardstock card fronts were scored on both sides at 3/8" and 3/4".  One layer was die cut with a Stitched Rectangle die to create the opening for the Eden die-cut from Basic White Cardstock.

The Very Vanilla stitched rectangle was used to stamp the inside hydrangea bloom stamping the small Hydrangea Haven bloom image multiple times (3-4 times moving the image around to create the round bloom).  The hydramgea was colored with Light Cinnamon Cider and Light Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Markers.

The colored rectangle was adhered to the back layer by using the top card layer for exact placement.  Two  window frames were created with two Stitched Rectangle dies.  The Eden Basic White die-cut was adhered to both window frames and the reverse side of the top card panel to create additional depth.  The two layers were adhered together on the ends with Tear & Tape Adhesive.

The Hydrangea Haven leaves, sentiment and Pampered Pets dog were stamped in Crumb Cake ink onto a  1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock.  The leaves were colored with my Light Old Olive Stampin' Blends and adhered to the card front with Mini Glue Dots.  Benji was colored with my Light and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends with a touch of my Light Cinnamon Cider Stampin' Blends while his collar was colored with my Light Basic Black Stampin' Blends Marker.  He was fussy cut and adhered to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The sentiment was fussy cut and adhered to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The completed card was collapsed and fit perfectly in a Medium Very Vanilla envelope along with a special message to Miss Judy along with her payment.

My happy Benji after being picked up from his grooming appointment

Benji was rather happy to be on his way back home after his grooming appointment!  He seems to be getting lighter and lighter in his coloring as the months go by.
