Stamping with Friends Blog Hop Banner - January 2022

Happy Saturday and welcome to my blog!  Today I am hopping along the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop as we share projects we have created for Valentine's Day.  We hope that we inspire you to create along with us.  There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!

Today's Project

Hugs and Kisses.  Watercoloring.  Fussy cutting.  Stamps.  Ink.  Paper.  What more could you want to create some Valentine's Day cards?  Well, maybe, some heart shaped dies and Designer Series Paper good enough to eat, right?  Well, the Sweet Talk Suite has that and more.  Today I am highlighting the bundle included with the Suite with a favorite stamp set from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.

Project Details

The fun began with creating a watercolor wash background on a half sheet of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper with the Broad Tip Water Painter.  While this was drying, the Count on Me bear was stamped in Soft Suede ink on Basic White Cardstock.  The bear was colored with Light Soft Suede and the Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Combo Pack.  And, yes, with this being for Valentine's, I couldn't resist giving the bear a special little mark on his backside for the occasion.  **wink**

The Sweet Conversations heart was stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink and fussy cut along with the bear.  The multiple heart stamp was stamped with Pool Party ink onto the watercolor wash once it was completely dry.  The hugs and kisses stamp was stamped with Pool Party ink onto the Pool Party Cardstock layer creating a fun background filled with love.  The watercolor wash layer was adhered with Tear & Tape Adhesive.  The bear and heart were rounded with a Bone Folder and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The adhered layers were adhered to the Pool Party card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The inside of layered identically to the front and decorated with die-cuts from the coordinating dies.  The row of hearts were die-cut from Basic White Cardstock and adhered with a piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive.  The hearts were colored with the solid image stamp used to fill the larger hearts.  The envelope was put together with a Mini Glue Dot that was stretched strategically to hold the flaps together without sticking to the back of the envelope.  The die-cut heart adhered with a Mini Glue Dot, also.  The sentiment was heat embossed on a strip of Real Red Cardstock and adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The envelope was stamped with hugs and kisses while the liner is the inspiration for the color palette - the Sweet Talk 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper.

  5. Wow! There is so much to like with this card. The inside could be a card by itself. And, you carried it to the envelope! Great card.
