Color Inspiration | Ink and Inspiration Blog Hop - Feb 2022

Today's Project

Sandra selected another beautiful color palette this month!  I so wanted to use all the colors again; however, daylight was quickly disappearing (I'm a natural light photographer) leaving minimal time to create the beautiful accompanying cards I envisioned so here's the one that I created using three of the colors!

Project Details

A Eden's Garden Toile was created with Highland Heather ink stamped onto a Basic White Cardstock layer.

A layer of Highland Heather was die-cut with the Eden Dies stitched edge border.  The Highland Heather toile layer was trimmed to align with the stitched border.  A layer of Gorgeous Grape was die-cut with the Eden Dies stitched edge border and trimmed to the same size as the Highland Heather die-cut layer.  The Honeybee Home sentiment was stamped with Night of Navy ink onto a Stitched Rectangles die-cut.

Linen Thread was double wrapped around the Toile layer, tied off with a bow and adhered to the Highland Heather layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The toile layers were then adhered to the Gorgeous Grape layer aligning it to create a 1/8" border along the left side while creating a shadow effect along the die-cut edge.  All layers were adhered to the Highland Heather cardbase.  Pearl Basic Jewels were added as a final touch (strategically placing one on the sentiment layer to cover up an ink smudge).

The inside was layered with the remnants of the Highland Heather Toile layer, a small strip of Gorgeous Grape along with Basic White allowing plenty of room for corresponding to the recipient.  The envelope front and flap were stamped to give hints of what will be seen on the inside.
