Today's Project

The Easter Friends Stamp Set is such an adorable stamp set!  The adorable duck and bunny were perfect for fussy cutting to add to today's Slimline Easter Card.  I hope it makes you smile!

Project Details

The color palette for this slimline card started with the selection of the envelope!  I chose the Soft Succulent as I wanted something cheerful and I didn't want the white one as I was not using black ink anywhere on the card.  So Saffron was chosen as the card base... and then I chose spotted the perfect sheet of paper that reminded me of mounds of Easter eggs in the Pattern Party 12" x 12" Host Designer Series Paper (retiring soon)!

The images were stamped with Smoky Slate ink onto Basic White cardstock.  The reverse image of the duckling was stamped onto my Craft Silicone Mat.  A piece of Basic White cardstock was placed over the stamped image and rubbed evenly to create the image.

The ducklings were colored with So Saffron Combo and Dark Pale Papaya Stampin' Blends.  The images were fussy cut and layered onto Basic White Layering Circles die-cuts.  So Saffron scraps were used for the Stitched Rectangles die-cuts.  The grass image was stamped and off-stamped along the bottom of the circles with Soft Succulent ink.  The die-cuts were adhered to a Basic White layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The ducklings were adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue while the rabbit was adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The sentiment was stamped with Soft Succulent ink onto Basic White scraps, fussy cut and adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The inside of the card was stamped and layered to compliment the card front allowing for plenty of room to correspond to the recipient.
