Hello!  I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day!  Today I am hopping with some of my talented stamping friends from around the world who love creating with Stampin' Up!® products as much as I do!  We love hopping on the second weekends of the month - Saturday or Sunday depending on where you are in the world - and love sharing lots of inspiration with you.  There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and relax with your favorite cuppa as you peruse the hop.

This month we are sharing projects based on our Christmas in July based Color Challenge!  I am sure that you will find lots of different interpretations and inspiration from these color palettes.

Today's Project

Amazing color inspirations for Christmas in July (one for warm weather and one for cold weather) inspired me to watercolor... and I couldn't resist choosing to use both color palettes for today's project!

Project Details

Sahara Sand ink was off-stamped with the Full of Love image to create the watercolor images on Shimmery White cardstock.  The Fine Tip Water Brush was used with the ink pad lids as my paint  palettes.

Petal Pink, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda were used to color the warm weather card.  While Early Espresso, Sahara Sand, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Cherry Cobbler were used to color the cold weather card.

Once the watercolor images were dry to the touch, they were die-cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies while the background was embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.  The Chic Dies created the Alcohol Spritzed snowflakes using Soft Succulent (cold weather card) and Bermuda Bay (warm weather card) inks tapped on acrylic blocks and then heavily spritzed with alcohol to create the various colors.  Linen Thread was doubled wrapped the layers and tied off with a single bow.  A double threaded bow was adhered with a Mini Glue Dot for a heavier look.  The watercolor panel and sentiment panel were adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The Light Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends Marker was used to create splatters on the warm weather card front.  The Inspired Thoughts stamp set was used for the sentiment stamped in Bermuda Bay and Evening Evergreen.

The insides were layered and stamped to compliment the card fronts.  Inspired Thoughts was used for the sentiments for the fronts and insides.

More Inspiration

I hope that you have enjoyed this color challenge and will use it yourself to create some Christmas cards this month to share with friends and family in December.  Up next on the blog hop is Jan where you can continue along to see what she and all the others have created.  I am sure you will be filled with lots of inspiration!  And should you be inspired, please leave us a comment...  we love to hear from you.
