Hello and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop! We are glad you have joined us and look forward to spending time with you as we share inspiration with you related to CAS(e) the Catalog Alternatives inspired by our team member focus challenge. So sit back and enjoy your favorite cuppa as you enjoy your trip Around the World on Wednesday!
Today's Project
This month we are being inspired by our team member from Alaska, Teri West. Teri is a dear friend and a member of the 2026 Artisan Design Team. Two years ago at OnStage-Houston, I got to meet Teri in person plus walk across the stage with her as we celebrated our common milestone. Getting to meet her supportive hubby was an added bonus.
Teri is known for her elegant, clean and simple designs... and she loves to make alternatives for Paper Pumpkin kits along with the Kits Collection. Thus the reason of this month's theme being the perfect time to showcase Teri.
In November, I fell in love with a project from the January-April 2026 Mini Catalog on page 68 featuring the Aspen Grove Stamp Set.
Teri has been posting a lot on Instagram lately (she's enjoying retirement!) so she inspired me quite a bit with alternative ideas for this catalog card.
And this is how she inspired me!

Project Details
The catalog inspiration was filled with white ink, tone-on-tone stamping, diecutting and distressed texture. I absolutely love this card.
When I found Teri's pink and white card, I was like "yes!" as it was an alternative for the vertical pieces in the catalog and a fun color palette. The diecut, embossed hearts on her Crumb Cake card got my mojo going.

Wanting to create a special card for later this month, I knew I wanted to use the amazing Sunshine & Tulips Bundle.
Cutting the amazing card front size diecut was something I thought I would never do... but it needed to be done for this project.
Several vertical, horizontal and square cuts were made with my trusty Paper Trimmer... playing with them all until I chose to shorten the horizontal row.
A Basic White Cardstock layer was embossed with the All in a Row Embossing Folder, trimmed to 4" x 5-1/4", and adhered to a Basic White layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Linen Thread was double wrapped around the layer and tied off with a bow towards the left.
Tulip borders were stamped with Bubble Bath ink on Basic White 1/2" strips and set aside.
The tulips were colored with Light and Dark Bubble Bath Stampin' Blends. Leaves were colored with Dark Soft Seafoam and Light Lost Lagoon Stampin' Blends. TIP: Self-Adhesive Sheet was adhered to a piece of Basic White cardstock before diecutting the intricate tulip detail and the leaves.
The tulip row was assembled using a second layer of Basic White cardstock (slightly smaller than the diecut piece). This second layer helps the assembly while giving subtle height to the design.
The two tulip rows were adhered to the Basic White layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The stamped tulip borders were adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The Exclusive Virtual Card Retreat 2026 sentiment panel was stamped with Bubble Bath ink, dove-tailed on the right and adhered over the Linen Thread with Foam Adhesive Strips. The Bubble Bath Faux Linen Ribbon bow was secured with Mini Glue Dots.
The assembled Basic White layer was adhered to a double Bubble Bath cardstock panel along to a Thick Basic White cardbase with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The fun, cushiony Loose Valentine's Assortment hearts were adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue as the finishing touch.
The inside was embossed, layered and stamped to compliment the card front. The Basic White Medium Envelope front and flap were stamped and off-stamped to complete the card ensemble.
