Nature's Frame for the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop - July 2026 | Christmas in July

 

Hello friends!  I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day!  Today I am hopping with some of my talented stamping friends from around the world who love creating with Stampin' Up!® products as much as I do!  We love hopping on the second weekends of the month - Saturday or Sunday depending on where you are in the world - and love sharing lots of inspiration with you.  There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and relax with your favorite cuppa as you peruse the hop.  

This month we are sharing projects based on our Christmas in July Color Challenge!  I am sure that you will find lots of different interpretations and inspiration from this fun color challenge.   

Today's Project

This month's Color Challenge gave us two options to tackle with our Christmas in July projects - Traditional Color Vibes vs Warm Weather Vibes.

Hmmm, which one did I choose?

As much as I wanted to create a snowman card for today's project, I didn't have the energy to get to the beach!  So I chose to play with the Traditional Color Vibes!

Project Details

Coloring the background image from the Nature's Frame stamp set has been wonderful therapy for me as I am recovering from a summer cold.

Using my Stampin' Positioner, I was able to get the perfect placement of the image inked with Crumb Cake ink onto the light side of Very Vanilla Two-Tone Cardstock.

The leaves were colored with my Light and Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends Markers.  The berries with colored with my Light Cherry Cobbler and Light Real Red Stampin' Blends Markers.

The Stitched Stocking sentiment (newly released Online Exclusives) was the perfect fit for the sentiment frame.

The frame was lovingly stitched with three strands of Crumb Cake Baker's Twine.  Holes were punched with my Take-a-Pick Tool on my Stampin' Pierce Mat.  

The bow was tied with the remaining two strands of Crumb Cake Baker's Twine.  

The colored layer was adhered to a same size Crumb Cake cardstock layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue prior to being adhered to the Crumb Cake card base.  

Antique Pearls were scattered around the framed sentiment while the tails at the end of the bow were knotted for a finishing touch.

The inside was stamped and colored to compliment the card front.  A mask was created for the bottom two-tone layer.  The top two-tone layer was torn just below the colored section for a special touch.  The Woodland Wishes sentiment (newly released Online Exclusives) was also stamped with Crumb Cake ink. The retired Very Vanilla Medium Envelope front was stamped with part for the front sentiment to complete the card ensemble.

I am currently creating nine more of these cards to get a head start on this year's Christmas cards!  It was so fun stamping everything while I had my supplies out.  Now to enjoy the therapy of coloring with Blends and stitching with Baker's Twine!!
