Hello and welcome to my blog!  Today I am hopping with the NEW AT SU! Blog Hop!  We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world who are full of creative paper crafting ideas to share with you and get you crafting!  This month we are showcasing products from the July-August 2022 Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration Brochure.

Today's project is all about Simple Stamping!  So it was time to turn back the clock to when I first started stamping with a few supplies.  Stamps, ink and paper... and a sponge dauber!

Creating this back to basics card was a challenge... but it was so much fun using this Hippiest Hippos Sale-a-bration stamp set that can be earned these next two months for free with a qualifying order.  Ordering the Watercolor Pencils, Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2, Water Painters and Blender Pens is an example of a qualifying order!

Simple stamping with multiples... is easy with Mini Slim Line cards!  One piece of Basic White Thick cardstock created these cards.

World Watercolor Month is currently happening... so these adorable hippos were stamped with Jet Black Staz-On ink and watercolored with Blushing Bride and Smoky Slate inks using a Fine Tip Water Painter.  The polka dots were created with a Sponge Dauber and a Blushing Bride ink pad.

The polka dot background was used to create a fourth simple stamping card with a few layers, a scored border (using the scoring blade from the paper trimmer) and sponge dauber edging.

The hippo was colored with a damp Fine Tip Water Painter applied to watercolor pencils on Basic White cardstock.  The three Basic White layers were adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue onto Blushing Bride card base.

The inside of the card was layered to compliment the card front.  The Medium White Basic Envelopes were stamped and colored with Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen on the front and flap.

  4. So cute I love the way you used the dauber for your background and the score on the front of the card is so simple but really stands out.
