Today's Project

This month we are CAS(e)ing the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog and/or the January-February 2023 Sale-A-Bration Brochure.

I chose to CAS(e) page 57 of the Mini Catalog with a bit of a twist...

CAS(e) the Mini Duo Challenge - I chose to CAS(e) this amazing card found on pg 57 of the JA2023 Mini Catalog! | Nature's INKspirations by Angie McKenzie

Once with the Dainty Delight Bundle and once with the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper (a Level 1 Product available for FREE with a qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration)!

Project Details

The Dainty Delight floral image was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink onto Basic White cardstock and colored with my Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Blushing Bride, Starry Sky, and Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Markers and a Blender Pen.  These colors coordinate with the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper which was my inspiration coloring the image.

The Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder was used to create the background behind the Fabulous Frames die-cut frame.

The colored, die-cut floral image was tucked under the frame.

The Dainty Delight sentiment was heat embossed on Rich Razzleberry cardstock, die-cut with the long  Stylish Shapes Dies banner, and adhered to the frame.  A second frame die-cut was adhered over the banner for more depth.

The Brushed Brass Butterflies were added for a special touch around the flowers.

The inside was stamped and embossed to compliment the card front leaving plenty of room of correspondence to the recipient.  The Basic White Medium Envelope was embossed to compliment the card.

Now here's the second card in which I fussy-cut the beautiful Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper!

The background is the watercolor splotches and splatters pattern.

The Fabulous Frames die-cut frame was used to select the section of the design that I wished to highlight.  Believe me, this was not an easy decision as the paper is gorgeous!

The flowers were fussy cut from the gorgeous sheet that can be cut in half to create six (6) card fronts... so needless to say, I will be doing some more fussy cutting with this sheet!

This card was stamped and assembled the same way as the Dainty Delight card using a different sentiment from the stamp set.

The inside was embossed and decorated with fussy-cutting to compliment the card front.  The envelope flap was also embossed to complete the card ensemble.

I would love to hear in the comments below which of these two cards is your favorite!  I love them both, but definitely have a favorite...  can you guess which one?

  4. Both cards are glorious! The fussy cutting of DSP must have been a labour of love but so worth it. Embossing the DSP was an inspired idea.
