Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I am hopping with the NEW AT SU! Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world who are full of creative paper crafting ideas to share with you and get you crafting! Today we are showcasing cards to create for a baby/child/kid/grandchild with something new from the 2023-2024 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.
Today's project is all about kids! So I have taken a walk down memory lane to create a card reflecting memories of how most of us have learned how to ride bikes with assistance after the training wheels came off! Many never realize when the supporting hand slipped away ever so gently as we continued to pedal along with only a few off balance wobbles.
Inspired by a visit to our local bicycle shop, I knew that kids these days must have a fun time selecting the color of their bikes! I grew up learning how to ride on my red Radio Flyer tricycle, graduated up to the bike with training wheels and then to my mom's navy blue Schwinn bike. Needless to say once I got my turquoise banana seat bike with the Laugh-In styled flowers, I was tickled pink!
When I saw these current day kids bikes I was like "wow!" - what an amazing rainbow of colors that were making me want one especially the Orchid Oasis/Tahitian Tide, Sweet Sorbet, Lemon Lime Twist and Polished Pink ones! **wink**
Project Details for this fun-fold card for a child features the Bright & Beautiful 6" x 6" Designers Series Paper. This amazing paper features the new Core Colors in the 2023 Color Refresh. The Beside Me and Fun on Wheels stamp sets were perfect for the bike theme while the Good Feelings stamp set shared the excitement of such a wonderful occasion!
Nothing like sharing a wonderful cheer with your special child, right?!? The inside of the card holds even more surprises! Visions of future bikes dancing in their heads for what's to come! And of course, the biggest heartfelt congratulations for such a splendid feat.
More inspiration is just around the corner. I hope you have been inspired to create a fun-fold card to give to a child to make them smile after accomplishing something big. Now it's time to continue along the blog hop - you're currently with me, Angie McKenzie, at #11 - to get more inspiration from the others... so look at the list below and continue along. But before you do, please take a moment to leave a comment before you hop along to the next post. We love reading your comments!
