Irresistible Blooms Hello

Happy Thursday, y'all!  I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day!  Today I am hopping with the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop as we share inspiration from our first sketch challenge using our current favorite In Colors!  There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water, or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!

Today's Project

This nature lover was thrilled to see the newest addition to our Color Collection!  The 2023-2025 In Colors™ are like nothing we've had to play with in quiet some time.  

Project Details

Playing with the double leaf image from the Online Exclusive Irresistible Blooms Stamp Set, it was stamped with VersaMark Ink multiple times on two strips of Vellum cardstock, white heat embossed, fussy cut (though it has a coordinating die), and individually pressed in each of the five new In Colors ink pads.  

This method of coloring the vellum takes several hours to dry especially when the humidity is high.  I patiently waited for them to dry for three hours... even moved them outside to bake in the summer heat, but the heavier inked sections were still a bit tacky.  Long story short, I made a delightfully inky mess while assembling the cards.  **wink**

The leaves were arranged along the Basic White Cardstock layer which was adorned with the Natural 1/4" Wavy Trim.  The sentiment was stamped with Copper Clay ink and die-cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies banner.  The banner was adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals which was strategically placed to cover some ink smudges.  The Basic White Cardstock layer was built up with two layers of Basic White Thick Cardstock creating a smooth layer for adhering to the Copper Clay Cardstock layer and Wild Wheat Card Base.

A few 2023-2025 In Color™Dots were strategically placed to cover up ink smudges created while adhering the leaves to the cardstock.  

The inside was stamped and layered to compliment the card front.  The leaves behind the banner were colored with the Light Copper Clay Stampin' Blends Marker which shows a second way color can be applied to the Vellum.
