Hello and welcome to my blog!  I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day!  Today I am hopping with some of my talented stamping friends from around the world who love creating with Stampin' Up!® products as much as I do!  We usually hop on the second weekends of the month - Saturday or Sunday depending on where you are in the world - and love sharing lots of inspiration with you.  Last weekend was a big celebration for many of us as we enjoyed OnStage@Home where we got sneak peeks of what's coming in January thus our schedule change!  There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and relax with your favorite cuppa as you peruse the hop.

This month we are sharing projects based on our Color Challenge!  I am sure that you will find lots of different interpretations and inspiration from this fun palette.

Today's Project

A special uncle earned his angel wings earlier this month as he defeated Parkinson's Disease.  This month's color challenge was the perfect inspiration for me to create some of the hardest cards, I've ever had to make.

Color Inspiration Challenge for the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop - November 2023
Crushed Curry | Early Espresso | Granny Apple Green | Crumb Cake | Azure Afternoon

Project Details

The challenge allowed us to throw in CAS (Clean and Simple) to give us double challenge so you know me... I love challenges!

The Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks has 4 different masks to create this beautiful sunflower.  It actually consists of three different sunflowers and three different leaves.  Keeping it true to the challenge, I chose one leaf and one sunflower.  For the simple cards, I used four of the colors (Crushed Curry, Granny Apple Green, Early Espresso and Azure Afternoon) in the challenge blending them on Basic White Cardstock.  Layering them up on Crumb Cake was also keeping it simple with simple layers.  Both cards were adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The above card was a simple CAS with all the color blended softly onto one layer.

The casual CAS card had a touch of white heat embossing for the sentiment which was fussy cut for a special touch.  The blending was done a bit heavier with this second card.  Each of the layers was edged along the sides with the broad tip of the Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker for a subtle hint of dimension.

My personal favorite is the avid CAS.  The sunflower and leaves were fussy cut... the white heat embossed sentiment was die-cut... the bottom card layer was embossed with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder and frayed along the edges with my Paper Snips... Linen Thread was wrapped around twice and tied off in a bow.  To sturdy the soft embossed and frayed layer, it was double layered with Crumb Cake Cardstock creating additional dimension to the card front.

This card used four of the five colors from the challenge.

More Inspiration

I hope that you have enjoyed this color challenge and will use it yourself to create some cards for friends and family.  Up next on the blog hop is Leonie where you can continue along to see what she and all the others have created.  I am sure you will be filled with lots of inspiration!  And should you be inspired, please leave us a comment...  we love to hear from you.
