Today's Project

Today's project is inspired by my niece's special day happening today!!!  Happy birthday, sweet Maddie!!!  Over the years, her favorite colors have been pink and purple... and she even went through a black and white phase.  I hope that you enjoy this SNEAK PEEK of products that are featured in the upcoming 2024-2025 Stampin' Up!® Annual Catalog.

Project Details

The number of candles on the cards was a must for this fun challenge... afterall, you only turn 21 once!  The Attention Shoppers Bundle cake image was stamped seven times on a 2" strip of Basic White Cardstock.  The decorative icing was colored with the new Pretty in Pink and Petunia Pop Stampin' Blends Combo Packs.  The candle flames were colored with the new Light Peach Stampin' Blends Marker.  After the colored images were die-cut with the coordinating die, the real "This or That" challenge began!

Hmmmm, which would make more of a statement?  Which would be more fun?  Should the cakes be on a vertical card or a horizontal card?  When in doubt... create both!  Then the next question was where should the sentiment go?  Along the bottom or across the center of the cakes?  So I did one of each!  Also, putting the cakes on an embossing layer that complimented the cake icing was a must!

And then, I noticed the adorable gift bags.  Wouldn't it be fun to do a card with 21 gift bags?!?  Of course, it would, but I opted to keep with the seven theme so the fun SNEAK PEEK of the Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder would still be seen and not almost completely covered.  What is so nice about this embossing folder is that it is huge (6" x 8-1/2") and embossed this slim line layer completely with one pass through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.  The classy feeling of the colorful pink and purple gift bags called for a classy sentiment... so the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder was a must.  Coordinating 2024-2026 In Color™ Shimmer Gems were the perfect finishing touch for all three slim line cards.

No card is complete without completing the inside... so enjoy the ideas for gifting cash, checks or gift cards with the Mini Envelope Pocket Dies pocket which can be used for so many occasions!

TIP for the pocket envelopes:  Be sure to use Tear & Tape Adhesive to assemble the mini envelopes.  Secure them to the inside likewise unless you wish the recipient to remove the pocket.  Removable double sided tape is perfect for this option!

  5. These are all great cards. Like Bree, I didn't think I needed this set either... but maybe I do. :-) I like the dark base over the light and I like the vertical one best because it shows off the circular nature of the embossed piece better.
