The Joy of Sets Blog Hop - March 2019

Welcome to The Joy of Sets March 2019 Easter Blog Hop!  You are visiting Angie McKenzie from the USA.  You are either starting with me or landing here after visiting the inspiring blogs of Ilise van Vliet (Stampin Scout) or Vicki Milyard (Stamping Vicki's Visions).

The Joy of Sets is a closed Facebook group created by the lovely Fiona Whitehead from England.  The group is full of Stampin' Up!® enthusiasts who share the love of all things Stampin' Up! - both old and new.  This month's theme is an Easter themed 3D project using any brand products.

Inspired by a project that my upline shared with me several months ago, I knew that today's 3D project would be perfect for some very special young-at-heart friends in my life!

This Door Hangar is the perfect size for an Easter treat filled with chocolate eggs and/or jelly beans!  Who needs an Easter basket when you can have an Easter Door Hanger?!

The Burlap background stamp (off stamped in Soft Suede) made the perfect background for these Easter door hangars.  The texture just makes you want to reach for them and touch them.  The flap adds more texture along with the feeling of Spring.  There's nothing like flowers to warm you up when it's cold outside - we woke up to freshly fallen snow this morning!

The flowers and greenery are from my favorite SAB stamp set Painted Seasons, and its coordinating framelits dies.  The dies make it so much easier to create multiple projects.  To keep with the theme of Easter, Shimmery White was my cardstock choice for these items and the sentiment.  The shimmer of the cardstock accentuates the detailing from the stamped images.

The inside of the bottom box is the perfect size to be flush against most door frames so it will not get in the way.  Plus it is small enough to not weigh down door handles!

I have included the measurements for the Door Hangers for you and the best part is that one sheet of 8-1/2" x 11" cardstock makes TWO of them!!!  And all the cutting and scoring was done with my Stampin' Trimmer!

Please note that the squiggly lines represent the areas that you need to make sure are stamped!

And don't you think these could also make the cutest double flap boxes?!  I think so, and will definitely need to make a few of them, too, for a few of my friends with some packages of gum or mints.  The flaps are held down with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals and the double wrapped Linen Thread is an added securing feature.

I hope you have been inspired by my project today.  There are several of us participating in this blog hop so be sure to hop around each of the blogs to see all the inspiration as you sure don't want to miss any!  Just click the PREVIOUS arrow to visit Ilise van Vliet or the NEXT arrow to visit Vicki Milyard.
Thanks so much for stopping by my little corner of the world.
Have a blessed day!
