Hello friends! I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day! Today I am hopping with some of my talented stamping friends from around the world who love creating with Stampin' Up!® products as much as I do! We love hopping on the second weekends of the month - Saturday or Sunday depending on where you are in the world - and love sharing lots of inspiration with you. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and relax with your favorite cuppa as you peruse the hop.
This month we are sharing projects based on our Technique Challenge! I am sure that you will find lots of different interpretations and inspiration from this fun Eclipse technique.
Today's Project
There is a very special lady who had a birthday earlier this month!!!
This month's technique challenge was the perfect touch for her birthday card.
Don't you agree?!?
Project Details
The Brushed with Beauty Suite Collection consists of two stamp bundles (Petals of Beauty and Words of Beauty), two sets of 12" x 12" papers (Brushed with Beauty Designer Series Paper and Vellum Specialty Paper), embellishments and an embossing folder.
Today's project uses the Petals of Beauty Stamp Set, the Words of Beauty Bundle, and the Beautiful Pattern 3D Embossing Folder with a mix of a few other products.
The Petals of Beauty background was stamped onto a Basic White Cardstock layer. The large floral was randomly off- stamped five different times with Petal Pink ink. The coordinating detailed image was stamped with Petal Pink ink. The three bloom image image was stamped likewise. The greenery image was stamped with Soft Sea Foam ink.
The Words of Beauty shadow die was used to create the diecut that is being used to create the "eclipse".
The Words of Beauty detailed word die was diecut twice from Basic White cardstock. The two diecuts were adhered together to standout on the stamped shadow diecut.
The stamped layer was adhered to slightly smaller Petal Pink layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Doubled Linen Thread was wrapped around the card front and tied off with a bow.
The Words of Beauty sentiment was stamped with Petal Pink ink on the coordinating Basic White diecut banner.
The stamped word diecut was offset and adhered to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The sentiment banner was adhered over the Linen Thread with Foam Adhesive Strips.
Three Antique Pearls were colored with the bullet tip of my Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blends Marker.
The assembled card front was adhered to a second Petal Pink cardstock layer before being adhered to the Petal Pink card base.
More details coming soon!
More Inspiration
I hope that you have enjoyed this sketch and will use it yourself to create some cards for friends and family. Up next on the blog hop is Leonie (she was at OnStage in Sydney this week!) where you can continue along to see what she and all the others have created. I am sure you will be filled with lots of inspiration! And should you be inspired, please leave us a comment... we love to hear from you.
