Hello and happy February!  I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day!  Today I am hopping with some of my talented stamping friends from around the world who love creating with Stampin' Up!® products as much as I do!  We love hopping on the second weekends of the month - Saturday or Sunday depending on where you are in the world - and love sharing lots of inspiration with you.  There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and relax with your favorite cuppa as you peruse the hop.

This month we are sharing projects based on our first Color Challenge for 2023!  I am sure that you will find lots of different interpretations and inspiration from this fun sketch.

Today's Project

A family member had a very special milestone birthday this week, so today's color challenge was the perfect inspiration for her birthday card!

So Saffron | Sweet Sorbet | Tahitian Tide | Orchid Oasis | Shaded Spruce

Project Details

It's not everyday that you get to say that you are three-quarters of a century!  The Framed Florets Bundle was the perfect fit for this celebration.

The florets spray was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Basic White Cardstock using my Stamparatus.  The stamped images were colored with every color from the color challenge using my  Stampin' Blends Markers.  The light green leaves were achieved by blending the Light Tahitian Tide and Dark So Saffron Stampin' Blends Markers.  The veined leaves were colored by outlining the veins with the Light Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends, followed by filling the leaves with the Dark Tahitian Tide Stampin' Blends Marker and then blending with the Dark So Saffron Stampin' Blends Marker.  The coral toned florets were achieved by blending the Light Sweet Sorbet and Dark So Saffron Stampin' Blends Markers.

The florets sprays were partially die-cut to allow the fluted die-cut frame to scoot under the colored  images.

The Shimmery White fluted Framed Florets die-cut was a scrap from another project.  The frame was colored with the brush tip of the Light Tahitian Tide Stampin' Blends Marker followed by blending the Dark So Saffron Stampin' Blends Marker.  The finishing touch was using my Whisper White Inked Sponge Dauber to give a white-washed appearance to the frame.

Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels were added to the coral florets.

The inside was stamped and layered to celebrate this milestone.  The Days to Remember Stamp Set and the Alphabet á la Mode Dies were the perfect additions for the inside.

The Basic White Medium Envelope front and flap were stamped to complete the card ensemble.  The Something Fancy sentiment was perfect for the envelope flap!

More Inspiration

I hope that you have enjoyed this color challenge and will use it yourself to create some cards for friends and family.  Up next on the blog hop is Aurélie where you can continue along to see what she and all the others have created.  I am sure you will be filled with lots of inspiration!  And should you be inspired, please leave us a comment...  we love to hear from you.
