Hello friends! I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day! Today I am hopping with some of my talented stamping friends from around the world who love creating with Stampin' Up!® products as much as I do! We love hopping on the second weekends of the month - Saturday or Sunday depending on where you are in the world - and love sharing lots of inspiration with you. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and relax with your favorite cuppa as you peruse the hop.
This month we are sharing projects based on our Sketch Challenge! I am sure that you will find lots of different interpretations and inspiration from this sketch.
Today's Project
Tomorrow is a very special day here in the United States as we celebrate our mothers and/or those who are like a mom to us!!!
This month's sketch challenge was just what I needed to create a special one of a kind card for my amazing mother.
Project Details
My mom loves pink and I love eyelet and watercolor florals!
The Painted Illusions 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (February 2026 POTM), the Eyelet Blooms Die (April 2026 POTM), and the NEW Barely Blush Sunset Shimmer Vellum 12" x 12" Specialty Paper are the heroes of this quilt pattern inspired card.
A standard card front layer of Basic White Cardstock was embossed with the Eyelet Bloom Die. The layer was trimmed down and adhered to a standard Night of Navy cardstock layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The Barely Blush Sunset Shimmer Vellum was adhered to a same size piece of Basic White cardstock covered with Adhesive Sheet.
The Painted Illusions DSP was cut into a 2-1/2" square and then into 1-1/4" squares. Each square was cut at the angle according to the sketch. The outer corner of each square was adhered to a Basic White 1-1/4" square with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The squares were adhered to two pieces of Basic White cardstock. The assembled columns were adhered to the shimmery layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
A piece of Barely Blush Bordered Ribbon was wrapped around the shimmery layer and tied off with a bow.
The gaps between the ribbon and the squares were filled with doubled 1/4" strips of Basic White cardstock.
A 1-1/4" x 2-3/4" piece of Night of Navy cardstock was white heat embossed with a sentiment from the 2026 Virtual Card Making Retreat Stamp Set.
The embossed layer was adhered to the Basic White Strips from above with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The assembled layer was adhered to card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The small Forever Florals Dies cluster was die cut three times and adhered randomly on the sentiment strip. Small Barely Blush 2026-2028 In Color® Dots and small pink Blooming Pearls (retired) were used to embellish the floral centers.
The inside was layered and stamped to compliment the card front. The Family Ties sentiment was stamped with Night of Navy ink. The Forever Florals cluster was stamped with Barely Blush ink. The Basic White Medium Envelope Flap was covered with the Painted Illusions DSP to complete the card ensemble.
More Inspiration
I hope that you have enjoyed this sketch and will use it yourself to create some cards for friends and family. Up next on the blog hop is Jan where you can continue along to see what she and all the others have created. I am sure you will be filled with lots of inspiration! And should you be inspired, please leave us a comment... we love to hear from you.
