Nature's INKspirations

You're the Friend for Color(ing) Your Season...

I absolutely LOVE this new exclusive stamp set that is currently available to demonstrators and to customers during the month of August while supplies last!

This card features the second image that I colored with this new assortment of awesome watercolor pencils available by Stampin' Up!  This time I had to check and see if the technique of applying the Aqua Painter to the tip of the pencils was the way to go or not...

The original image was stamped with Gray Granite onto Shimmery White cardstock using the Stamparatus.  The flowers were lightly colored with the Flirty Flamingo pencil while additional pressure was applied for shading.  The leaves were colored in the same fashion with the Granny Apple Green pencil.  The Aqua Painter was then used to achieve the watercolor affect.  Not being satified with the look of the leaves, Garden Green pencil was added with the Aqua Painter to pencil tip technique.

The sentiment was stamped in Garden Green on Vellum cardstock using the Stamparatus.  Powder Pink cardstock was ran through the Big Shot with the Subtle DTIEF and adhered to the Flirty Flamingo cardstock with liquid glue.  The watercolored Shimmery White cardstock was also adhered to the pink layers with liquid glue.  This layer of cardstock was then flipped over and burnished with the bone folder several times all the way around to make sure that the watercolored Shimmery White cardstock was lying flat.  The vellum was placed over the sentiment panel and then adhered by dabbing a sponge with a tad of liquid glue lightly across the sentiment.  Next, it was wrapped around the layered panels and secured with Snail Adhesive.

The top panel was adhered to the Garden Green card base with several strips of Foam Adhesive Strips.  Basic Pearls were added to the flower centers.

The inside has matching layers with the leaf stamp being stamped off with Garden Green.

I hope that you are loving this stamp set and the Color Your Season products as much as I am... it is such a wonderful year-round set filled with seasonal images and lovely sentiments!
