NW Ohio Demo Shoebox Card Swap!

This past Wednesday night my awesome upline, Chris Shively Smith, organized a Shoebox Card Swap for some area demonstrators to gather, connect and share.  It was a fun evening and those of us who were able to attend had an enjoyable time.  We all are definitely looking forward to more get togethers along with getting to meet those who were unable to attend this time.

Of course, while typing this post, I realized that I didn't even think to take pictures of the event, but there will be a next time and I'll make sure to document it with pictures!

Here are the cards that I made for the swap!
Stamp set(s):  Blended Seasons
Technique(s):  Watercoloring, Embossing (3 different types!)
As you know, I LOVE this new stamp set!  Since the swap was on July 25th (5 months til Christmas!!!), I just had to make a Christmas card and thought I'd make a fall one, too, since it's just around the corner.

And here are the swaps that I enjoyed making at the Shoebox Card Swap!
Stamp Set(s):  Dandelion Wishes, Bokeh Dots
Technique(s):  Sponging, Layer Stamping, Resist Emboss
Chris loves to sponge the way I love to watercolor!  I just wish I could sponge like her because her samples were far better than my attempts!  The Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon was colored with a sponge dauber!  Think I'll try coloring it with my Blends.
Stamp set(s):  Abstract Impressions Bundle
Technique(s):  Two-Step Stamping
Linda focused on the gorgeous coordinating Garden Impressions DSP to draw her inspiration and color palette from.  Definitely some fun cards to create!
Stamp set(s):  Varied Vases bundle
Technique(s):  Sponging, Masking, Two-Step Stamping
Ann used the lovely stamp set inspired by the lovely Mary Fish, a Million Sales Achiever.  It was fun creating these cards from a stamp set that I have, but haven't gotten around to using yet!  The bottom card was stamped with the awesome Stampartus® with the middle flower stem being stamped afterwards using a post-it not to cover the shelf and sentiment do to the length of the stem.
Stamp set(s):  Abstract Impressions bundle
Technique(s):  Layering, Three-Step Stamping
Melanie's cards were full of embellishments so I definitely had fun with them.  Her sample of the butterfly had pearls trailing below the butterfly cutout, but I forgot to add them.  We had fun snipping a portion of the floral die cut to place in two spots on the lower card.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing these cards and have found some INKspiration!

Happy stampin' and have a blessed day!
