Christmas in July | Embossed for the Season

You didn't think I'd pass on a Christmas in July card, did you?!?  Of course, not!!!  This exclusive stamp set that will be available to customers starting TOMORROW during the month of August, while supplies last!!!  I LOVE this limited-time, exclusive stamp set, Blended Seasons, and cannot wait for you to be able to enjoy it, too!

This card was created for a local demonstrator Shoebox Card Swap that I participated in last week.  You can click here to read all about the fun cards I got to make at this event!  The colors of this card were inspired by a sneak peek that I had of some of the new holiday products that will be available to demonstrators tomorrow and customers on September 5, 2018.  **WOO HOO!!!**

With a scrap piece of paper on the Stamparatus, I did a test run for a 4-sided border with the holly stamp in an ink color that I had handy.  It was almost perfect, but needed to be moved up just a smidgen.  With the test piece of paper, a stitched square was selected to fit in the middle.

A piece of Shimmery White cardstock cut to size and the selected stitched square attached to it with washi tape was placed in a Big Shot sandwich based on the new Big Shot Embossing Mats directions provided on the packaging.  After running it through the Big Shot once - viola! - the center has a lovely embossed square is the center.  (NOTE: This is how I recommend doing it, although when I was creating the original card, the embossed center was an afterthought!  And running it through twice will cause the corners of the embossed square to crinkle and/or create a slight cut. **wink**

Tap the Shimmery White cardstock with the embossing buddy along all the sides.  Using the Stamparatus, the holly stamp was inked with VersaMark Ink four different times followed by heat embossing with Copper powder.  The leaves were watercolored with Shaded Spruce and the berries and sprig tips with Cherry Cobbler.  I thought the center needed a little something extra so I cut the Merry Christmas sentiment between the words so they fit perfectly in the center of the embossed square.  The copper embossing method was repeated.

The top half of the card was reverse embossed using the Stampin' Trimmer around all four sides.  The Shimmery White cardstock was adhered to the front with Liquid Glue.  A piece of Copper Trim was tied into a bow and adhered with mini Glue Dots.  The inside of the card was also copper embossed to coordinate with the front.

I absolutely love these Color Your Seasons products that will available to customers TOMORROW!  It is such a versatile set and will get a lot of year-round use!

I hope that you have enjoyed the cards that I have with this incredible bundle... the only thing is, I've only just begun!

Have a blessed day!
