Hello and welcome to my blog!  I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day!  Today I am hopping with some of my talented stamping friends from around the world who love creating with Stampin' Up!® products as much as I do!  We love hopping on the second weekends of the month - Saturday or Sunday depending on where you are in the world - and love sharing lots of inspiration with you.  There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and relax with your favorite cuppa as you peruse the hop.

This month we are sharing projects based on a Color Challenge!  I am sure that you will find lots of different interpretations and inspiration from the photo inspiration.

Today's Project

This month's color inspiration comes from the Hallmark Dream Book cover!  This 2023 issue is celebrating 50 years of Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments...  and being a collector of Hallmark ornaments, I was thrilled to see colors that I'm loving on the front cover.

Project Details

What better way to be inspired by Hallmark than to create your own ornament to add to your ornament collection or gift to someone special.

Timeless Charm Christmas (close-up) | Nature's INKspirations by Angie McKenzie

Inspired by one of the Advent Calendar doors (the one with the package and starburst red bow), Wild Wheat cardstock became the background while the Christmas Pinecone Dies created the ribbon look background.  Layers of Pecan Pie Timeless Charm die-cuts created the center for the handmade ornament to rest.

The Timeless Charm image was stamped with Pecan Pie ink onto Basic White cardstock.  Cherry Cobbler, Sweet Sorbet and Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends were used to color the image prior to it being die-cut with the coordinating die.  The colored image was adhered to two Pecan Pie die-cuts prior to heat embossing the front with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder multiple times until your desired thickness.  I chose to emboss this one four times.  Once cool, the Gold 1/8" Trim was adhered to the back with Tear & Tape Adhesive and adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to a third Pecan Pie die-cut.  The ornament was adhered to the front with Mini Glue Dots.

The inside was layered and stamped allowing plenty of room to correspond to the recipient.  The Basic White Medium Envelopes allow plenty of room for this card; however, you will want to mail it in a special padded mailing envelope to prevent the ornament from cracking.

More Inspiration

I hope that you have enjoyed this color challenge and will use it yourself to create some cards for friends and family.  Up next on the blog hop is Jan where you can continue along to see her amazing slimline Christmas card and what all the others have created.  I am sure you will be filled with lots of inspiration!  And should you be inspired, please leave us a comment...  we love to hear from you.
